A custom glass mousepad from Pulsar By You lets you level up your setup with your own design, making your gaming setup truly unique. To make sure your mousepad turns out perfectly, it’s important to prepare your image properly before uploading it. In this guide, we’ll show you exactly how to get your image ready so your custom mousepad looks awesome.
Step 1: Get the design guide
Download the design guide PDF from the Pulsar By You Custom Glass Mousepad website, which you can access by clicking here and then going to 'Pulsar By You.' This guide gives you the exact template and dimensions needed for your custom glass mousepad, so your design fits perfectly.
You can also download the AI file if that's your preferred format.
Step 2: Understand the design guide details
Please make sure to check the details in the design guide, including the notice about material protected by copyright.
After you carefully read it, proceed to open the file in your preferred PDF editor. If you don’t have one, feel free to search for one online or ask our community on Discord for PDF editing software suggestions. You can join our Discord at pulsar.gg/discord
Step 3: Insert your image into the design guide PDF
After opening the design guide in your preferred PDF editor, insert your image there.
Depending on your original image’s size, you may need to crop parts or adjust proportions so that all important elements are within the Safe Zone and there aren’t any unwanted empty spaces in the file.
In this example we're sharing, our image was originally smaller than the design guide, so we resized it to fit the design guide size without any empty spaces and without changing the design guide resolution.
Make sure your image doesn’t overflow or leave unwanted blank spaces. This step is crucial to ensure your design prints at the right scale on your mousepad.
Step 4: Upload the PDF
After your image is properly placed and sized in the design guide, save your file and go back to the Pulsar by You website. Then, use the ‘Upload PDF’ button to submit your design.
Step 5: Verify your design in the website preview
Once uploaded, check the preview on the Pulsar by You website to make sure everything looks right. Confirm that your image is properly positioned and scaled. If something looks off, you can go back, adjust your PDF, and upload it again before finalizing your order.
If you receive a PDF size error, then most likely you edited the design guide size. Please follow the guide steps again making sure to edit the size of your original image only, leaving the design guide resolution unchanged.
IMPORTANT: Make sure there aren't any unwanted blank spaces or borders in your preview. If you see borders in your preview, they will be printed on your mousepad as well.
In the example below, the image has two borders on the sides. If that's the case, you need to edit the image again to make sure it fits the design guide resolution:Step 6: Complete the purchase
